This is a gorgeous well made and attractive Gary. The colors band diagonally thru the artifact.
This artifact is made of a dark black, charcoal, and gray petrified wood material. This type of petrified wood is all over the East Texas Piney Woods Region. Due to the nature of the sandy soil composition, petrified wood was a common tool making material in the region.
This artifact is a well made and sturdy example of the Gary Type, and was unearthed in Marion County, Texas.
