$8 shipping on this striped flint 1&7/8" by 1&1/8" by 1/4" thick Knox County, Kentucky, point--studying the piece over-and-over, I keep coming back to Early Archaic (based on the exceptional knapping skill shown)--I lean toward either Kirk Cornernotch or Stilwell--two points that have been found on sites together. Too, the basal edge is not ground (to any GREAT measure--you definitely feel grinding in the center of the base) That upper blade, see the photos, that's some great pressure chipping. My original 'take' was based on the slightly rounded basal notches-more like Hopewell work, but the upper blade convinces me (finally) that the piece is indeed Early Archaic Culture--great patina, great flint, guaranteed authentic.
